I've been playing WoW since December 04, and have loved most of the game's aspects. I come to you now as I don't see myself apart of my main guild now (Dragonflight) and to perhaps find a guild that can cater to my raiding needs. While DF is nice, I can't find myself to get into their raids anymore (let alone find people that actually want to do alternate raids from the "main raid") and want to experience the rest of Ulduar (mainly Vezax & Yogg) and work on getting a Rusted Proto Drake and work with a fun yet competent guild. I've mostly pug'ed groups for the larger part of WotLK so my overall gear may not be as high as others, but my skill remains top notch. Jophine recommended me to write an application and here I am to see how I can fare.
Please describe your character (spec wise). My main spec is Ret (5/7/59, may change it to get Divine Sacrifice in the near future) and Prot (5/54/12) as my off spec. I used to be holy for all of vanilla wow and most of TBC till around Eredar twins in Sunwell then stayed as Ret after that. Only beef I have with my ret spec now is I have too much expertise from a recent trinket (Victor's Call) but I'm changing out my older neck & rings so I have the Seal of Vengeance glyph temporarily till those are upgraded to high loot levels.
Also Dorf for life, I've never made a Human character before and don't plan to do so, while their racials are nice, I find being another race to be more fun, plus who doesn't love a dorf?
Tell us about yourself; location, age, etc?. I'm 24 and live in Boulder CO for the time being. Aside from WoW, I also play Team Fortress 2 with my clan ( [iO] ) and Left 4 Dead as my main games these days. I also take some night classes that should usually not interfere with the raid schedule and should be on most of the time during the week.
Do you have ventrilo? Yes and do speak, though its hard to hear me since my voice is so low sometimes, have a better mic but still configuring it.
Which raids/bosses have you done in WotLK? (please list) Naxx 10/25, KT killed Sarth 10/25 (2 drakes up) Malygos 10 Ulduar 10/ up to General Vezax (have done Mimiron but that was approx 3 months ago, need a refresher). Ulduar 25 up to Auriaya ToC 10 / No hard modes yet ToC 25 up to Faction Champs (aka the pug killer).
Do you know anyone in the guild? Mainly a few older members like Kenjii, Balmightee, Gnomeman (aka Choey) and Jophine, also alts of people like Talleth & Oculis. They used to be old raiders with DF during the vanilla & TBC days so I imagine my name will be very familiar.
Hardest achievement(s) earned? (eg drakes? special titles?) Probably 2 drakes on Sarth 25 & 10 and a few of the Hard Modes in Ulduar 10 (Heartbreaker, Hard mode IC, 4 towers FL, etc). Do you read any forums (eg elitistjerks) to keep up to date w/ your class changes or to maximize your dps/heals? I read EG now and then, also browse the Wowhead forums too. Also read Wow.com & the WoW forums for class insight and boss insight too (e.g. videos, strategies, etc).
Will you be able to meet raid time? We raid Sun-Thurs 11pm server time until 4am server time. I should be able to do that easily, I have night classes that usually end about 1 hour before the raid starts. However there may be times where I may be late due to a long lab or weather issues ( I live in Colorado and snow is starting to show early ).
Did you level this character originally and what is your /played time? About 163 days and 23 hours.
recently recruited a ret pally whose attendance has been good , so that puts us w/ 2 ret pallies atm. ive talked to kenji and the others you've mentioned and they all recommend you, therefore, id like to invite you regardless. however, raid spots in 25man will be tight for a while. if you're ok w/ that let us know via this thread or contact me in game at Dustt.
we run several 10man raids including hardmodes, and we can definitely use a tank in one of those runs.

Thank you for your response Dustt, while I thank you also for your invitation, I am slightly hesitant due to being in DF for so long, I need a bit of time with my goodbyes and settling some other business. Though, Jophine suggested I take part in some upcoming raid, perhaps something simple, say a Onyxia run due to the 3.2.2 patch. I will be on tomorrow as well and I will try to message you then Dustt and perhaps talk about some questions I have regarding the guild in general. Also, I don't have a problem at all switching off with your other ret pally with waiting for a 25man spot for awhile, its just apart of a guild.
